VARGIS Selected for Color Digital

STERLING, VA, April, 2005 VARGIS, LLC has been selected by
Frederick County, Maryland to produce county-wide digital color
orthophotography and 2-foot contours for the entire 664 square miles
of the county.
Frederick County is a fast-growing urban area located approximately
50 miles northwest of D.C. To satisfy planning, engineering, construction

deliverables will meet or exceed US National Map Accuracy Standards
for 1"=100 (1:2400) mapping. Deliverables will include
6" pixel color digital orthophotos, DEM, 2-foot contours, and
spot elevation data. Digital orthophotography and topographic data
will become available for Intranet/Internet mapping applications,
County staff and other political subdivisions, county and local
government agencies, and to the public. A fee schedule and license
agreement applies to all released material.
