VARGIS Selected by Rand McNally for Geospatial Software Development, Data Management and Business Services

Sterling, VA, April, 2005 – Rand McNally & Co (RMC) has selected VARGIS to provide a comprehensive range of geospatial services for product development and professional services. VARGIS has entered into a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with RMC to provide professional services for geospatial software development, spatial data management and business process outsourcing.

Rand McNally & Company, founded in 1856, is America's indispensable travel guide, providing mapping, routing and trip-planning tools for the consumer, business, education and commercial transportation markets.

Leveraging its global production and development capacities, VARGIS has been providing a range of product development support services using ESRI ArcGIS, ArcObjects and Maplex tools enabling Rand McNally to reduce its time to market new products and updates, reduce development cost and sustain product and service quality.
