VARGIS Hires New Chief Operating Officer

STERLING, VA, March, 2005 – VARGIS, LLC is pleased to announce that Mr. Alan Sneyd has been hired as Chief Operating Officer for the company. Mr. Sneyd, with more than 25 years of domestic and international mapping experience, holds both BS and MS degrees in Geography, and an MBA from Johns Hopkins.

Mr. Sneyd has a wealth of experience in managing large geospatial service programs for domestic and overseas clients. His most recent achievement was overseeing the development of the most comprehensive digital map database of North America intended for use in GIS and in-vehicle navigation applications. At VARGIS, he will be responsible for day to day operations for all projects, day to day production operations, resource allocation, technology innovations and implementation, and will lead all customer service.
